Biography
He is a member of RIYADA Legal Group, and a prominent lawyer in the maritime, commercial and insurance industry, with more than 23 years of work experience across Jordan, the UAE, Saudi Arabia and Bahrain. He is known for his ability to manage and settle complex disputes, and to represent international shipping and insurance companies before courts and arbitral tribunals, including the London LMAA arbitration.
He has held important leadership and advisory positions, where he served as General Manager of a maritime consulting company, Legal Counsel at Gulf Navigation Holding, Senior Advisor at Fisht & Partners Legal Consultants, and Legal Counsel at Al Tamimi & Partners Law Firm for several years. He also served as internal legal Counsel to the group of shipping companies – Al Salam International Transport and Trade Corporation, in addition to his work with the Arab Potash Company, and Khalifa & Partners Office.
He has extensive experience in drafting and analyzing maritime and commercial contracts, preparing contracts for the sale and purchase of ships, registering, financing and insuring them, as well as his experience in structuring companies and providing strategic legal advice to companies, businessmen and investors.
He holds an (LL.M.) in Maritime Law from the University of Wales – Cardiff, UK, and a (LL.B.) from Mutah University, and is a former consultant to the Technical Insurance Centre in Jordan. He also participated in prestigious international conferences and seminars in the fields of shipping, insurance and arbitration, which strengthened his position as a trusted regional and international expert.
